Editorial Disclaimer

Sugarloom & Swirl is a craft-journalism studio. Everything we publish — flavor profiles, temperature guides, batch notes and illustrations — is editorial. Please read this notice so you know exactly what you're getting, and what you shouldn't take us for.

1. Editorial nature of this publication

This website is a magazine, flavor guide and crafting journal. It is not a store, not a recipe contract, and not a guarantee of results in your kitchen. Our batches vary with the seasons, the fruit and the humidity, and so will yours. We celebrate that.

If something in our guides doesn't work in your kitchen, the candy is rarely at fault — sugar stages shift with altitude, humidity and pan speed. Try again, write down the differences, and learn from the batch.

2. No medical or health claims

Nothing published here is medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment, or a claim about the health effects of sugar, candy or any ingredient. Candy is a joy and a craft — it is also sugar, and we leave all health decisions to qualified professionals.

Please do not use our articles to make food, dietary, medication or lifestyle decisions. Consult a qualified health professional for anything that affects your health or the health of someone you cook for.

3. Kitchen safety is your kitchen's business

Candy making involves boiling sugar — hot syrup behaves badly and can cause serious burns. Our temperature and texture guides are educational, not safety certifications. Follow basic kitchen safety: use dry oven mitts, keep children away from the pot, and never test syrup in your mouth straight off the stove.

4. Accuracy and updates

We test our guides in the studio and publish corrections with the same energy we publish recipes. Still, kitchens differ, thermometers drift, and syrups misbehave. If you spot an error, tell the editors — we'll verify and revise.

Every link inside this publication points to another page of this website, to an anchor within a page, or to a clean mailto address. We do not embed advertising, affiliate modules or third-party widgets. If a link appears broken, it is a mistake — please report it to the studio.

There is one standard exception: SVG image files carry the standard XML namespace identifier. It is a technical formality — your browser never leaves this website.

6. No affiliations, no endorsements

Sugarloom & Swirl has no sponsors, advertisers or financial relationships with any brand, store or manufacturer mentioned in our stories. Mentions are editorial — the writers chose them, not the marketing department (we don't have one).
