Terms of Use
These terms describe how the Sugarloom & Swirl editorial website works, what you can do with what you read here, and how we expect everyone — readers, writers and fellow candy makers — to treat each other.
Welcome to the studio
Sugarloom & Swirl is a free editorial publication about artisanal candies and lollipops. Everything here is published for reading, learning and enjoyment. There is no shop, no checkout and no account system — which means these terms stay short and friendly.
Using our content
Our articles, flavor notes, temperature guides and illustrations are original studio work. You are welcome to:
- Read, share and discuss our pages freely, including in kitchens, classrooms and community groups.
- Quote short excerpts with credit to “Sugarloom & Swirl.”
- Link to any article using the page's own address.
You may not republish our full articles or illustrations elsewhere, sell them, or use them to advertise without written permission from the studio.
Reader conduct
The candy comment section of life should be sweet. We ask that you:
- Keep correspondence friendly and constructive — no harassment of the editors or other readers.
- Do not send unsolicited commercial pitches. The studio is not a storefront.
- Do not attempt to overload or disrupt this static website. It's tiny, unprotected, and very fond of its uptime.
Correspondence
When you write to the studio at sugarloom.swirl@gmail.com, you agree that we may reply by email, quote brief excerpts of your question in editorial replies, and keep a record of the exchange for internal editorial purposes. We will never sell or forward your messages.
Changes to these terms
If the studio grows or changes, we may update these terms. Any revision will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” note in the sidebar. Continued reading after an update means you accept the revised terms.
A few governing notes
- These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States.
- If any clause here is unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay sweet and in effect.
- Nothing in these terms limits any non-excludable right you may have as a reader.
